EStatements and Home Banking
Since
the BIT application contains its own authentication capabilities,
you are not limited to your home banking account holders for the eStatement
service. Instead, the service can be available to all your account
holders.
Some financial institutions wish to also have the eStatement application
sit behind their home banking application, to streamline the username
and password requirements for those account holders who use home banking.
This can be done, provided that your home banking provider agrees
to pass key information to BIT to identify the users after they
have been authenticated by the home banking provider. The account holders
would still register the first time as noted above, but could henceforth
access their statements through a link in the home banking application,
without having to key the eStatement username and password.
BIT presently offers single sign on interfaces with Digital Insight, Online Resources, Galaxy
NetBranch, and HomeCU. Additional interfaces are in the works.
