Data Transmission
BIT has established communication links employing dedicated lines,
Internet connections, direct dial, and bulletin board. We can communicate
PC to PC, PC to mainframe, and mainframe to mainframe. BIT utilizes
FTP file transfer, and has three secure FTP sites available for
this purpose. These three sites have different hosts, so if one
goes down, the other will be unaffected.
Our secure FTP site saves you time and money. No hassles and expense
of using overnight delivery services. No need to recreate tapes
if they can’t be read. All data transmissions are encrypted
with PGP encryption software, which encrypts your account holder data for
security during transmission.
